Latanya Alberto Latanya Alberto is a multidisciplinary artist, singer, songwriter and performing artist. Having had music in her life from an early age, Latanya began her professional career as an independent artist at the age of 19. She released her debut EP Ruminate in 2018. Born and raised in Amsterdam to Surinamese and Curaçaoan parents, Latanya Alberto started writing poetry as a teenager, which became the basis for her lyrics today. Delving deeper into cultural awareness, female empowerment, social justice and romance, Latanya takes inspiration from the wordplay of India Arie and the versatility of Miles Davis. No matter the subject, her meaningful lyrics always read like poetry. She likes to blend her musical stories with visual expressions to add to a total experience. Desmadre Orkesta Desmadre Orkesta is a really festive and eclectic band. It takes you from the brasses of the Balkans, to Colombian cumbias, having first a little swing in New Orleans, and even one or two milongas down in Buenos Aires. With the powerful imprint of brasses, they play melodies of popular characters, both traditionals surprisingly remade and originals, always with virtuosic details and accomplished arrangements. Music is just the starting point for their characteristic scenic display: lots of dancing, movement, energy and special attention and enjoyment in interacting with the audience. The result is a joyful, intense and dynamic show, which always leaves you with a smile on your face and a happy heart.
